Project Outline

Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are toxic, bioaccumulative, and long lived (>hours). The heterogeneous reactivity of POPs is extremely uncertain, and this is propagated into air quality models, which are used in human health impact assessments of these pollutants, and to inform air quality policy. The overall aim of this project is to scope out how STFC laboratory and modelling facilities can be used to quantify the heterogeneous reactivity of a target POP.
